It’s only today that I finally found the sale page, but I’d mentioned this somewhat “quiet” sale over on Facebook and Twitter. The long and short of it is that a whole big list of ACX (Audible’s Audiobook Creation Exchange) titles have been on sale for $5.95, with members still getting their discount which brings them down to $4.16. Among the full list of titles, this includes all the Neil Gaiman Presents titles, among some others below. I still don’t see a full and complete list of the $5.95 titles, but here’s some of the best that I’ve found:

The complete list of 25 Beachcomber Sale titles has now been revealed, after this somewhat strange “follow the clues” sale placed 5 books on sale for $6.95 each day for 5 days. The prices will stick around until August 31, and here are the SF/F titles:
In Fiction, along with adventure and classics like Treasure Island and Moby-Dick and others, there’s one of my favorite short audiobooks, that being The Old Man and the Sea By Ernest Hemingway, Narrated by Donald Sutherland. At 2 hrs and 30 mins, it’s a most excellent pairing of narrator and subject.
Audible’s having another members-only 2-for-1 sale through August 14. Listed by author last name, here are the titles which catch my eye:

- The Magician King: A Novel By Lev Grossman, Narrated by Mark Bramhall for Penguin Audiobooks — Length:15 hrs and 48 mins — Release Date:08-09-11 — one of my favorite audiobooks, sequel to an absolutely great audiobook, as both author and narrator “maintain the perfect knife’s edge between the fragile and the real, charting well the heady waters of a truly worthy sequel to one of the new century’s great fantasies.”
- Swan Song By Robert McCammon, Narrated by Tom Stechschulte for Audible, Inc. — Length:34 hrs and 22 mins — Release Date:11-15-11

Through Noon Eastern Time on May 21, Audible.com is having a 48-hour Customer Favorites $7.95 sale. There is a handy Sci-Fi & Fantasy tab, though there are sf/f titles lurking under the Thriller, Fiction (a lot), and Romance tabs as well. Here’s what most caught my eye in the sf/f tab:

And there’s a whole lot more worth giving a look at:

Using a special mini-cart, and if you happen to have piles of credits lying around you can “3 for 2” more than once, Audible.com has been running a 3 books for 2 credits sale for the past week which ends tonight at midnight Eastern Time (US). In the sale are books by David Anthony Durham (books 2 and 3 of Acacia), Robert J. Sawyer (WWW: Watch and Wonder), R. A. Salvatore (Forgotten Realms: Transitions), Jo Walton (Small Change trilogy), Margaret Weis (Dragonvarld trilogy), Scott Westerfield (Behemoth and Goliath in his Leviathan trilogy), Peter F. Hamilton, Mark Hodder (Burton & Swinburne series), and more. It’s organized by author last name across 5 partitions, so… happy hunting.
Audible.com’s Semi-Annual Half-Price Sale lists 1000+ titles, ending April 27 at Noon ET. Organized into the major categories, there’s helpfully a Sci-Fi and Fantasy listing, but it’s quite a doozy at 131 results. So! Here’s my usual rundown of the (too many, still) titles which caught my eye with a (somewhat) shorter list of PICKs:

As the 200+ books are listed by section by author last name, though there’s an Editors’ Picks section as well, this doesn’t make it that easy for the sf/f listener to get a glance at all the titles. (Though what I generally do is check my wish list, sorted by price, to see what sorts up at $4.95.) So, here’s my glance-through (not every sf/f title, particularly in the urban fantasy and paranormal romance side of things you’ll want to check the listings for yourself) of Audible.com’s latest “Win-Win” sale, which ends March 13.
TOP PICKS:
-
Anthology: METAtropolis By Jay Lake, Tobias Buckell, Elizabeth Bear, John Scalzi, and Karl Schroeder, Narrated by Michael Hogan, Scott Brick, Kandyse McClure, Alessandro Juliani, Stefan Rudnicki, and hosted by John Scalzi — a fantastic near/medium future shared world anthology of post-collapse, narrated by an all-star cast from Battlestar Galactica and featuring stories from fantastic authors
- The Alchemist and the Executioness By Paolo Bacigalupi and Tobias S. Buckell, Narrated by Jonathan Davis and Katherine Kellgren — another shared-world multi-contributor work, this time two novellas in a fantasy milieu where magic comes at a cost, illustrated with two excellent stories
